Yaya Tea started in January 2008 at 163 Hester Street New York, NY 10013 and relocated to 51 Chrystie Street New York, NY 10002 in February 2010!
Yaya Tea is a cafe specializing in freshly brewed tea through a purifier filtration system where premium tea leaves are brewed fresh daily We take bubble tea to another level by adding various jellies or popping boba into our drinks that burst in your mouth. We serve unique imported snacks as well, mostly from Japan! We stand out amongst our competitors by serving handmade onigiri, also known as a riceball, which are only made to order. Onigiri is a popular Japanese snack that is convenient, handheld and delicious! Served with our special Nori wrapping, also known as dried seaweed, which stays separate from the Riceball to remain crispy until ready to be eaten.
Here at Yaya Tea we carry a variety of tea ranging from White to Black tea, along with flower & herb tea! White Tea is known as a baby tea leave that is not fully grown, therefore it has the least caffeine. Green Tea is known for good health and best served with honey. Oolong has moderate caffeine and usually served at dim sum restaurants. Black tea has the most caffeine and mostly served with milk and bubble, if preferred.
