This city had an estimated population of 9,812 as of the 2010 census. The city was named after DeWitt Clinton, a politician who served as governor of New York from 1817 to 1823 and from 1825 to 1828. Clinton is home to many excellent attractions, including Fahnestock State Park, the Clinton Lake State Park, and the Wildridge Golf Course. Connected with diverse forms of transportation such as highways and railways, it serves as a good destination for tourists from all over the country.
