Get amped up for the concert @WebsterHall with a "Sunset Kids" walking tour of Greenwich village. The sights that made lower NYC legendary!
Event Details
Get amped up for the big concert at Webster Hall with a unique pre-concert ("Sunset Kids") walking tour of Greenwich village, Doctors!
The neighborhood of Greenwich Village, in lower Manhattan, is an important part of rock history - the careers of Bob Dylan, The Ramones, and Jesse Malin are just three names that are part of Greenwich Village lore. On this walking tour you'll see the sights that inspired Jesse Malin and visit some of the locations that shaped his career. I will take you to legendary rock and roll landmarks of The Village, past and present, from the glitter to the gutter and everywhere in between.
We will eat and drink along the way - part pub crawl (practice The Fine Art of Self Destruction), part lowbrow eating tour (give yourself a Heart Attack), and part rock history lesson (learn about New York Before The War). Maybe even visit a "real record store" where you can pick up some vinyl to remember the experience.
NOTE: This tour is completely unofficial and completely unaffiliated with Jesse Malin. This tour is also completely FREE - pay what you wish or pay nothing at all. Beat poets will be ejected from the tour. Bring cash for food, drink and tips, and bring your bananaphone camera. I will happily take your picture in front of the locations we visit.
We'll take our time eating, drinking, and being merry, but no worries - we will get you to Webster Hall in time for doors open for the concert.
