Ember Room

Ember Room is the latest venture of New York City based restaurateurs Ace Watanasuparp and Chatchai Huadwattana, founders of Chace Restaurant Group, whose recent successes include Spot Dessert Bar and Obao. The menu designed by internationally acclaimed Thai Chef Ian Kittichai features traditional Thai dishes with select international influences.

Ember Room’s masterfully crafted cuisine is set against a boldly designed, 140-seat Asian inspired venue envisioned by Roy Nachum, an internationally acclaimed hospitality designer known for his provocatively designed restaurants, nightclubs and hotels around the world such as Justin Timberlake’s Southern Hospitality, 1oak, and Mels Burger Bar. The backdrop at Ember Room mixes rustic and contemporary through the use of rich colors, sophisticated materials and distressed wood, creating a warm and welcoming environment for diners. Key design highlights include a massive old-world oven-grille custom made exclusively for this project, a dramatic 25 foot high ceilings, an open kitchen rimmed with a black Carerra marble bar, a rustic dining room flanked with rough-cut logs, grand bronze mirrors, custom light fixtures made from Jute fabric, communal dining tables, and signature original oil paintings by Roy Nachum himself.
