It was when Michael, after a 30 years long culinary training from managerial positions, met Andreas, a kitchen enthusiast who had run restaurant business for decades, the decisive moment that the two successful dine vets teamed up to fulfill their common appetite for a Mediterranean Nisi (Greek for Island) in the western portion of the Village.
Because West Village didn't just need another south European spot. West Village needed a Nisi. The team puts forth not only an ever-evolving menu consisting of handsomely refined dishes of the Tyrrhenian and Aegean Sea. A big deal of real warmth will come from the staff and the artfully designed family spirit of the space on top of the Mediterranean classics with a novelty touch. Enough to make Nisi a relaxed place and a must-go from Day One.and has a fan following of guest patrons in NYC. Chef Gianni in his cooking style focuses on fresh and sustainable ingredients sourced locally from popular small businesses and fresh fish daily from fishmongers.
