Description
We are a cozy Malaysian-French bistro located at 121 Baxter St, in Chinatown. At Aux Epices, French for “with spices,” we cook healthy, tasty and natural food. We use no MSG or other chemicals to flavor our dishes, favoring spices and fresh whole foods that can stand out on their own. Our menu features many Malaysian dishes, including satay chicken, chicken Istimewa and Ikan Panggang. Our coconut curry seafood laksa is one TimeOuts’ Top Ten Cheap Eats of the June 2013 issue. We also offer several classic French entrees such as moules mariniere and duck confit . Our house made French style tarts sweetly tops off a satisfying meal.
In addition to our core menu, seasonal foods make daily appearances on our chalkboards, so there is always something new to try and love.
As of September, we are no longer BYOB and offer a variety of wine, along with a list of beers by the bottle.
Take a break from the usual by joining us in our cozy, intimate space. Enjoy a latte or a glass of wine; the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, 11am - 10pm. Happy hour runs from 4-7 pm, Monday through Friday with wine, beer and food specials.
